Giorgos Kakanakis studied semiotics at the new school for social research and live art at NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
Having worked as a director both in NYC and in Europe, he turned his work more towards non linear visual narratives and the connection between language as image and image as language.
He has toured, as visual artist, with Tuxedomoon and is one of the core members of the live cinema group The Erasers. He is currently working on image propaganda with The Rank and File and The Believers.
